Do I have photography skills? (pics included)?

Silent Rumours asked the question:

I’m 14, considering pursueing a career in photography. I suppose I’m slightly good for my age at it, and I enjoy it very much. I like taking pictures of the random things that most people otherwise wouldn’t have noticed, I feel it adds a sort of unique-ness to the photograph; I look around my house for not too noticable things and photograph anything I believe has unique depth. I take a lot of pictures in restaurants, a crayon on the table, Cherry coke in a glass, that sort of thing. Not exactly having a main subject but capturing the picture at ironic angles; knowing all of the basic rules but breaking most of them. That’s my basic description of it anyway. Do you think I have any skills?

i really love all these pictures! you take some really interesting angles and ideas in your pictures! i especially love the one of the treetops! you’ve got talent, for sure!

  2. I Need You

Definately. Your pictures are creative, in my opinion, because you use different points of views when taking pictures.

I’m considering a career in photography, too(:

you’ve asked this before, but I still think that you have a few that really stand out - like the pendant one.
The problem is, is that the expectations of a good picture within normal society have got lower (what with cheap digital cameras and all). But within the art world, it’s still an extremely skillful thing to do. Some of your pictures are great, but others could be great. Keep working on it and get a really good camera and experiment with different lenses so you really learn it inside out. So when you see something cool, like the crayon, or the bottle, you’ll know exactly what lens, aperture etc to use. xxx hope this helped xxx

keep up the amazing work. even though you’re already really good, try taking some classes here and there. you might learn some simple hints that you never knew, and you’ll be even greater!

You are actually quite good. You have a natural eye for composition, you may need to polish your framing, but overall I love the detail you pay to what you capture. I’ll just give my standard links to some websites you may want to check out to learn more about technique and exposure. Good luck.

“”"”Do you think I have any skills?”"”"
    Answer: YES !!!!!
Some pix’s are good. Your artistic eye is looking and seeing images to be cought, Now keep practicing, critique you own photos, make a list of what could be better, write down how to improve a photo. then make the corrections and take it again, do this over and over with the same photo. each time it will get better. Then when you can’t do any more, You will have learned much. THEN the next time you take a photo you will make most or all of those correction BEFORE you take a pix.

    Good luck, you have potential

You’re perfect for photography. A nice place for photography in North America is Canada. Out of America is Brazil or Greece.

To be 14 you have wonderful perspective in your photos and you seem to think “out of the box” and be very creative. I see huge potential for you to go far.
