lookling to get into a photography career taking pictures at concerts. Where do i start?

my passion is music and photography. Id like to get into a career doing both. Ive talked to some people at concerts with the press and most of them just kind of fall into it.Is there actually a career doing something like this or is it like a who you know kind of thing?

    You need to have a strong portfolio, start with local artist smaller venues ect. so you can build up your portfolio and gain experience. Then present your portfolio to a band manager and hopefully they are impress and in need of some promos.
